Ubuntu and derivatives packages can be found on launchpad. Tested on Ubuntu 16 and 18, Kubuntu 18, and Mint 18.3
Quick install:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qtpovray/qtpovray sudo apt update sudo apt install qtpovray qtpovray-includes qtpovray-extras

These are the debian 9 (stretch) packages for qtpovray.

Download the .deb packages and install with
sudo apt install -f ./qtpovray_3.80.1_amd64.deb ./qtpovray-includes_3.80.1_all.deb ./qtpovray-extras_3.80.1_all.deb
