One of the largest personal projects i've worked on over the years is cataloging the 21566 pictures of my family.
Being a geek, that meant writing a database, where i can sort the pictures and filter and rank them by various criteria. One aspect of PicMan is that it generates contact sheets based on sets, like a sheet of all train pictures.
BuckoPic, a small Windows program, then changes my desktop wallpaper every 20 minutes or so to one of these contact sheets. The facet i have been working on lately is to make Mosaic composites. The idea is that i should be able to print a picture to hang on the wall and from 10 feet it should look like the original. Here's my first attempt.
